Two Hearts. One Show — Fundraising Competition

Welcome to Two Hearts. One Show - part fundraiser, part competition, and all about celebrating the people, clubs, and partners who keep HOY galloping along. Think of it as a chance to show your support, rack up some points, and maybe snag a shiny title or two.

The Three Big Titles

• Supporter of the Year - for individuals who show their love for HOY one purchase (or donation) at a time.

• Club of the Year - for clubs, areas, or riding groups who rally their members and cheer the loudest from the sidelines.

• Partner of the Year - for HOY 2026 sponsors and trade suppliers who’ve booked their site and paid their deposit (because commitment deserves a little glory).

How to Play

It’s simple: every dollar equals one point. $30 = 30 points. No maths degree required.

• Supporters: your unique code is just your first and last name.

• Clubs, sponsors, and trade: you’ll be listed on the merch page - just select your team before you check out.

• Forget to use your code? Sorry champ, no code = no points. Brutal, but fair.

From time to time, we’ll throw in bonus points through mini competitions on social media. Think quizzes, challenges, or the odd surprise prize. Follow the HOY Facebook page so you don’t miss the fun.

Key Dates

• Partner of the Year closes on 24 December 2025 and will be revealed on 31 December 2025.

• Supporter of the Year and Club of the Year will close on 31 January 2026 and will be announced 7th February.

Prizes

Prizes may be transferable or customised - we’ll chat with winners to make sure they get something that suits (no, sadly not a pony).

Terms and Conditions

• If, for any reason (including those mysterious things called Force Majeure or a decision from the powers-that-be), Horse of the Year 2026 cannot go ahead, your donation or merch purchase will still be put to good use supporting the cause and all the behind-the-scenes magic that makes HOY possible. In other words, no refunds -  because your generosity fuels more than just the event itself.
• All prices and donations are in good old NZ dollars. Payment’s due when you order - our points system doesn’t run on promises, IOUs, or “I’ll get you next week.”
• If you’re buying merch, we’ll get it to you as fast as our couriers (and the universe) allow. We can’t control postal delays, rogue drivers, or your neighbour’s cat who thinks parcels are fair game.
• We adore enthusiasm, but if you’re caught gaming the system, breaking the rules, or generally being a sneaky sausage, we can disqualify you faster than you can say “bonus points.” Play fair.
• Clubs, areas, or riding groups jumping into our fundraising fun must be the real deal - we’ll do a quick verification to make sure you’re legit (no imaginary pony clubs, sorry).
• All funds must go into an official club or group bank account. No personal bank accounts allowed - not yours, your mum’s, your flatmate’s, or your cousin’s mate Dave’s.

What the clubs will receive:

• Merchandise sales: For every item sold using a club/group code, the club/group will receive 25% ($5 per sticker set / $15 per cap) of the revenue excluding GST, after landing costs are deducted – a neat way to boost your club’s funds!
• Donations: For every donation made using a club/group code, the club/group will receive 25% of the donated amount excluding GST – helping HOY and your club at the same time!
